Our Model

Where Education Meets the Real World
In Nepal and beyond, higher education often works in silos, with academia, industry, government, and communities operating separately. This limits how deeply students can understand real-world challenges and contribute to solving them.
At Nepal Communiversity, we follow the Quadruple Helix model, bringing together academia, industry, the state, and communities as equal partners in learning and problem-solving. Through this approach, students engage directly with real contexts, reflect on their experiences, and collaborate across sectors to create practical solutions.
Our Journey
A small group of educators from King’s College came together to reimagine higher education in Nepal.
The “Community-as-Curriculum” concept paper was refined through dialogues with students and locals.
Communiversity transitioned into an independent, registered not-for-profit organization.
Executed the 8-week Social Innovation Fellowship across Helambu, Panchkhal, and Janakpur.
Signed partnership with Kathmandu University to launch the MSIE program.
Inaugural cohort for the Master’s in Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship begins.
